Day 1. Arrive Hanoi (-/-/-)

Be welcomed by your guide then transferred to downtown. Check-in to your hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing in Ha Noi, a cyclo ride in the French and Old Quarters as well as the evening Water Puppet Show, followed by a traditional tea ceremony and calligraphy demonstration.

  Dinner at own account.

Day 2. Hanoi - Mai Chau - Mai Hich (B/L/D)

In the morning, depart from Hanoi for Mai Chau (135km). Mai Chau is located in the beautiful northwest mountainous area, approximately 4 hours drive from Hanoi. 

Continue to Mai Hich (+13km) and be welcomed by your host family. Enjoy a lunch, made from local products.

In the afternoon, take a short bicycle ride if you wish to explore your surroundings (Note: Bicycle can be rented on spot).

Dinner and accommodation at the Community-based homestay in Mai Hich village (Shared house) or Mai Hich Ecolodge.

Day 3. Mai Hich - Ninh Binh (B/L/-)

Dawn in the pristine northwestern mountains and the fresh air early in the morning is amazing.

Take a soft trek in the countryside along vegetable gardens, ponds, rice terraces. Experience the daily life of the Thai ethnic people with farming activities, keeping livestock. Lunch at a local house. 

Bid farewell to the family, the village and proceed to Ninh Binh. 

Dinner at own account.  Accommodation in Ninh Binh.

Day 4. Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Enjoy a scenic sampan ride (1.5hours) surrounded by a limestone landscape. 

Proceed to Ha Long with a stopover in Nam Dinh for visiting Tran temples. Upon arrival in Halong Bay board your boat for an unforgettable cruise. Welcome lunch on board.

Cruise in Halong Bay visiting some islands and caves. Possibility of swimming, kayaking (upon request) around hidden islands and beaches. Late afternoon, admire the sunset over the bay, participate in a cooking demonstration or have fun on the deck with the bar's happy hour. Enjoy dinner on board. Night fishing is on offer.

Day 5. Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hoi An (B/L/-)

Breakfast on board. Continue cruising the bay and have a brunch before disembarkation. 

Arrive Halong wharf then transfer back to Hanoi. Proceed to Noi Bai airport for your flight to Da Nang. 

Be welcomed and transferred to Hoi An. Check in to your hotel. Evening at leisure with dinner on own arrangement

Day 6. Hoi An (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a walking tour to discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport during the 16th to 18th centuries.  Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. Visit the Phuc Kien hall, Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky old house and a silk workshop. Afternoon: Time at leisure. Lunch and Dinner on own arrangement

Day 7. Hoi An - Danang - Hue (B/L/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Hue, through Hai Van pass (if weather permits). Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market. 

In the evening take a food tour by cyclo. Explore Hue's slow lifestyle through a slow ride by cyclo, tasting some typical Hue delicacies, experiencing local eating habits and learning some easy Vietnamese expressions that will accompany you through time. Start with a tasty drink and light finger food in a charming bar. Your guide will give some basic introduction about local cuisine before moving to a vegetarian restaurant, where you can see Buddhist traditions imprinted in Hue's food art. Farther and farther away from the tourist quarter, in a laid-back cyclo, the night tranquility will show you the inner soul of a former Imperial city. Suddenly, the street food stalls come into sight with their exciting sounds and appealing smells to tease your appetite, and a crispy Hue styled pancake or lemongrass skewers will be worth a try with both your hands and your tongue. Sweet soups may not be your favourite desserts, but the varieties of colours and flavours, especially the roasted pork dumpling in syrup, will be a promise of a sweet ending for a sweet night!

Day 8. Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Boat trip on the perfume River; visit the Thien Mu pagoda then the Tu Duc Tomb.

Take a short cycling tour to the ancient village nearby Hue to immerse yourself in the greenery of a so-called “Garden City”. Be welcomed to an ancient Garden-House where the host family will not only share with you their lifestyle, traditions but invite you to enjoy preparing an authentic home-meal with garden sourced ingredients. Enjoy a relaxing herbal foot bath from garden plants. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

Day 9. Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Saigon Secrets (B/L/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. 

Savor the tasty Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) for lunch.

Take a sightseeing tour including the War Remnants Museum, the Central Post Office and photo stops (outside visit) at the Reunification (former Presidential) Palace, and Notre Dame Cathedral. 

Free shopping time at the central Ben Thanh Market, or follow the guide to stroll Le Cong Kieu Street, selling antiques, replica object and Yersin market offering a bunch of commodity and wartime objects.

Day 10. Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc Island (B/-/-)

Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to the airport for the morning flight to Phu Quoc. Welcome and transfer to the resort. Check-in, time at leisure to enjoy the island’s pristine beaches.

Day 11. Phu Quoc Island (B/L/-)

Get away from touristic beaches and Phu Quoc’s highlights! Follow us on an active and exclusive excursion to explore the hidden natural beauty of Phu Quoc.

After 30 mins drive to the northern part of the island, you will start an interesting 4km walk (1hour), learn about the bio diversity of the island and feel the nature. A boat is waiting for you at Rach Tram (River of cajeput) and takes you along this quiet river until a fishing village. Meet the family who prepare your lunch and will accompany you to a secluded beach. Until then, you will understand why Phu Quoc is named “The Pearl Island”. Take time to swim in turquoise waters, play with the sea stars, and have a picnic lunch with fresh seafood. Enjoy coconut and white fine sand, breeze and sun, all is for you. Finish the day by a leisurely walk (4km) or you can opt for a motorbike-taxi ride or mountain bike ride if you feel like.  

Day 12. Phu Quoc's Specialties and Seafood - Cooking Class (B/L/-)

In the morning, take a short transfer to the meeting point where you will join your local guide and other travelers for an exciting market tour. Learn about the local ingredients, their usage and values, and buy the best fresh products. Continue to explore two of Phu Quoc famous specialties: a pepper farm and “Nuoc Mam” (fish sauce) factory before heading up to a  beautiful, private hill villa to take part in a hands-on cooking class. With the help of the chef and your local guide, you will practice cooking two or three dishes. These are local delicacies which are made easy for you to cook at home. Together with some other dishes, sit down and enjoy your own Vietnamese meal. Relax before your transfer back to the hotel.

Day 13. Phu Quoc Island - Ho Chi Minh City (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 14. Ho Chi Minh City - Departure (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
