Day 1. Arrive Cebu - Dumaguete (-/-/-)

Day 2. Dumaguete - Tanon Strait - Dolphin Spotting (B/-/-)
After breakfast, drive up north to Capinahan Pier in Bais City where we board an outrigger boat for a short sailing trip to Tanon Strait. Stop briefly at Talubong Mangrove Island, a 400-hectare protected mangrove forest that serves as a natural habitat for wild birds and crustaceans. From Talubong, head straight for Campuyo White Sandbar while we scour the sea for dolphins. When the sea is calm, the deep waters of Tanon Strait become the playground of bottlenose, melon-head and spotted dolphins. We wait in anticipation for a pod or two to come and swim alongside our boat, until we come to rest on the shallow waters of Campuyo White Sandbar. Here in this kilometer-long sandbar, find your spot where you can stretch out on the sand or take a dip in its shallow waters.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on the sandbar before sailing back to the pier.
Continue on to the town of Sibulan, located about 6 kilometers away from the city, and embark on a 15-minute trek to the twin lakes of Balingsasayao and Danao. On a promontory overlooking the lakes, one can get a breathtaking view of coastal plains and valleys of Negros Oriental and Tanon Strait. The twin lakes are two adjacent crater lakes situated at an elevation of 1,000 meters above sea level, in a beautiful rainforest setting. Its serene surroundings, coupled by the cool, mountain breeze and the occasional chirping of the birds, compensates for the short trek you may have to make under the sweltering heat of the sun.
