Day 1. Arrive Bali
On arrival at Bali airport your guide will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Ubud.
The rest of the day is free to relax.
Day 2. Art, Temples and Volcanoes
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Batubulan village to attend a Barong and Keris dance performance. Then visit the art and handicraft villages of Celuk, Batuan, Mas and Ubud, to witness gold and silver work, hand weaving, woodcarving and painting. Proceed to Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave), a Hindu meditation center dating back to the 11th Century, then Tampak Siring to see the holy spring water temple Tirta Empul. Next on to view the magnificent panorama of the still active Mt. Batur volcano and Lake Batur. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to hotel.
Day 3. Mountain Trekking
Deep in the heart of Bali lies dense untouched tropical rainforest. We transfer you to one of Bali’s still active volcanoes and our mountain guide will lead you on an unforgettable experience through real jungle flora - the home of monkeys, wild boar, deer and Bali’s magnificent bird life. Experience unique sights as the skill of our guides enable you to go to an area which is only accessible with their insight and knowledge. We rest in the dense forest, and an excellent lunch is provided at the end of the trek before you are transported back by air conditioned vehicles to your hotel in Ubud.
Day 4. Rice Terraces and Mountain
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we embark on a particularly scenic countryside tour. First we visit Pacung for its scenic landscape of terraced rice fields. Next we travel up to the Botanical Garden to view the collection of orchids. Afterwards continue to Bedugul to the enjoy the cool air and lush vegetation together with Ulun Danu Temple and Batukaru mountain. We drive back via Pupuan village with its spectacular scenery of lush green rice terraces, coffee and clove plantations. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to hotel.
Day 5. Balinese Cooking Class
06:00 am : Early market tour at Sukawati market.
08:00 am: Visit the Balinese traditional house and kitchen at Batuan village, a place of unique sights. Go to the nearest traditional market for vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, etc. The guide will explain the food and spices and the way of selling and bargaining, and interaction with the people in the market.
09:30 am: Cooking Class. Our Cook will lead you to do the cooking and give participants a hands-on lesson in cooking the dishes. Items to Cook: Skewer Spicy Chicken, Skewer Spicy Fish, Spicy Fish Fillet in Banana Leaf.
12:00 pm: LUNCHEON! Enjoying your own "Bali Bungkus". Taste your delicious self made food for Luncheon.
Afternoon free at leisure.
Day 6. Ubud Cycling
Using new mountain bikes and safety equipment, the downhill trail from Mount Batur will lead you through sleepy villages along little-used roads and tracks. Frequent stops along the way will give you the opportunity to visit temples, plantations and villages that offer an insight into Bali that is not commonly seen. All our guides come from the surrounding regions and are trained to entertain and educate with a broad depth of knowledge in Balinese culture and lifestyle.
Starting high in the mountains at the village of Mayungan, this 25 kilometers ride winds its' way down valleys, passing temples and shrines and criss-crossing golden rice fields through landscape unchanged for a thousand years. Your guide will explain local Balinese culture and customs as you pass through the timeless countryside, arriving finally back to Ubud.
Air conditioned support vehicles with cool drinks and cold towels are never far away. We finish our journey back in Ubud and an excellent lunch will be served before returning back to your hotel.
Day 7. Besakih Temple Tour
Full day excursion featuring a visit to the greatest temple of Bali. Firstly we will visit the waterfall at Kemenuh Village and observe the traditional technique of tie and dye weaving in Gianyar. Next we visit Klungkung to see the Old Court of Justice of Kertagosa at Klungkung Village. Lunch will be at a restaurant in Bukit Jambul overlooking the Indian Ocean. We finally drive up to the Balinese's biggest and holiest temple at Besakih, majestically situated on the slope of Mt. Agung.
Day 8. Make Temple Offerings, visit Tanah Lot, Monkey Forest and Taman Ayun
This morning you will have an opportunity to make your own offerings with unique palm carvings, fruits, Balinese cakes and flowers. Religion is such an intrinsic part of daily life in Bali, there is always a festival or celebration to prepare for.
We continue on to Tanah Lot temple situated on a huge rock surrounded by the sea. After lunch, visit Alas Kedaton (monkey forest) where you will be welcomed by tame and friendly monkeys. Finish the day with a visit to the beautiful Taman Ayun Temple which is dated back from the Royal Mengwi Dynasty.
Day 9. Ubud
Breakfast at the hotel. A full day free at leisure for exploring this attractive town with its numerous places of
interest. Organized optional sightseeing can be arranged locally.
Day 10. Whitewater Rafting + Aromatherapy Healing Massage
This morning we take you to a breathtaking 2 hours rafting journey, 13 kilometers long on the famous Ayung river. You will paddle over 25 rapids; pass numerous waterfalls, fern laden canyon, sleepy grottos, through narrow gorges and swift moving torrent. During the voyage you will see nature run wild; untouched tropical rain forest greets you on every side; and iridescent Kingfishers swoop through vine hung gorges, as one moment you are floating through shaded pools and the next moment you are sent, swirling through bolder strewn rapids. At all times the rafting is fun, the scenery is ever changing, like the river itself. We provide ‘riverdry’ bags for your camera and an extensive US$ 25,000 medical insurance cover. To finish the trip, an excellent buffet lunch is served in our award winning Bali Garden Restaurant located on the bank of the Ayung River. Freshen up in our changing rooms and showers facilities before our air-conditioned vehicles takes you to have a 120 minutes' Aromatherapy Healing Massage before returning back to your hotel.
Day 11. Lembogan Island Beach Club Cruise
After breakfast at the hotel, let us whisk you away to Nusa Lembongan Island as you enjoy this beautiful region of Bali on our Lembongan Beach Club Cruise. During the Bali Hai Beach Club Cruise you will cruise to Nusa Lembongan aboard our luxury catamaran. Upon arrival in Lembongan Bay we will transfer you to Mushroom bay to experience the unspoiled charms of a peaceful tropical island at the private Bali Hai Beach Club. Relax on golden beaches, snorkel and swim from the beach in tropical water, or just relax in the hammocks of our peaceful gardens. If the mood takes you, an array of day activities add to the tropical atmosphere such as kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing plus lots more.
At lunch time there is an appetizing BBQ lunch, which includes salads and fresh fish grilled at our pool-side cabana. Enjoy this wide selection of food with a range of cocktails at our exclusive Lembongan Beach Club Bar. After a full day of activities, return to your hotel.
Day 12. Departure
Today you will be transferred to your hotel in Kuta/ Sanur/Nusa Dua if you intend to stay longer in Bali, or to the airport according to your flight schedule for your flight back to the UK.
