Day 2. Li River Cruise (B/L/D)

Visit: The best way to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the Li river is to take a cruise. The cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is one of the most popular activities in Guilin. Along the river you can see stunning karst hills, bamboo groves, and villages. Look down in the clear river to see the river bottom and rocky shoals. Highlights along the way include Nine Horse Fresco Hill, Yellow Cloth Shoal, 20-Yuan Bill Hill, and Xingping Town. During the cruise, there will be crowds on the deck, but your private guide will tell you when to go to the deck to see the best scenery.

Day 3. Bamboo Rafting on Yulong River (B/L/D)

Experience: In the morning we will bike upstream along Yulong River, the most beautiful tributary of Li River, for one and a half hours. Our scenic countryside trail along the riverbank will take us through villages, rice fields and orchards, all framed by the majestic karst mountains. The landscape will compel you to take photos, and in the warmer months, you might even find buffalos wandering into your frame. We will then pair up to drift along the Yulong River on bamboo rafts, offering more scenic moments you will want to capture by camera. Rafting on the river always proves to be a traveler favorite as you record the beautiful views. After that, you will visit Moon Hill. A 40-minute hike to the top will reward you with a splendid panoramic view of the surrounding area. Keen photographers, take note: this is your spot!

Day 4. Yangshuo - Longsheng (B/L/D)

Experience: After breakfast, free time in the morning.  Then drive to Longsheng, a fascinating scenic spot for tourism. It is well known for its enchanting scenery, plenty of local products and several colorful minorities. Then enjoy your hiking tour around Ping'an Zhuang Village for wonderful views including the  Zhuang and Yao minority tribes' villages.

Day 5. Longji (B/L/D)

Experience: In the morning, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of terraced rice fields and exotic ethnic culture after a hike of about 3.5 hours to Tiantou Village in the Jinkeng rice terraces area. Then continue to trek about 2km to visit the Yao family in Dazhai Village. Drive back to the hotel.

Day 6. Longji - Sanjiang (B/L/D)

Visit: Drive to Sanjiang Dong autonomous region after breakfast. You will visit the Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge  - a symbol of the Dong ethnic architecture where the main materials are wood and stone - and the Drum Tower of Sanjiang after arrival. The Drum Tower of Sanjiang is a wooden structure and it is the symbol of Sanjiang County. The shape of Sanjiang Drum Tower is like a pagoda. The magnificent and elaborate structure with gray colours represent the Dong minority's profound culture.

Day 7. Sanjiang - Zhaoxing (B/L/D)

Visit: Drive to Zhaoxing after breakfast. It is famous for its villages and it is the core region of the Zhaoxing Dong culture scenic area. You will stop at Tang An Dong Village enroute, an eco-museum. After that, take a good rest in the hotel.

Visit: After breakfast, visit Basha Miao Village and Zhanli Dong Village. Then transfer to Rongjiang, overnight in Rongjiang.

Day 9. Rongjiang-Kaili (B/L/D)

After your arrival, you will visit Datang Short Skirt Miao Village, Langde and Jidao Long Skirt Miao Village, where you will also see a unique ancient barn over water and experience the quiet life in this distant village. Then free time for the rest of the day.

Day 13. Guiyang - Shanghai (B/L/D)

In the morning, we will fly to Shanghai after breakfast, a beautifully-bustling cosmopolitan city offering sharp contrasts between the modern and traditional.

Visit: Upon arrival in Shanghai, we will start our day by rising above the city to the 100th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center, the second tallest building in China, where we will take in a panoramic city view from the Sky Walk observatory, a perch 474 meters above ground. The observatory features a glass floor that you can walk along if you’re feeling brave and want to see the city beneath your feet. Next we’re going to visit Yuyuan Garden, a representative of private gardens in southern China: small but elegant and exquisite, the landscaping featuring water, pavilions and bridges amidst the gardens. The surrounding bazaar, popular for souvenir-hunters, is a beehive of activity. Here you can try your hand at bargaining.

Experience: Afterwards, we will explore the surrounding Xintiandi, a typical Shikumen area with modern renovation, where the local residences are modeled in traditional Shanghainese architecture. Unfortunately, most Shikumen disappeared quickly due the city’s rapid economic development, but in the old quarter of the city you can still find the historic structures.

The afternoon is yours to explore or rest and relax, as you prefer.
