Day 1. Arrive San José (-/-/-)

Welcome to San José, Costa Rica. Meet your driver and transfer to your hotel. Explore the city and its charms, its theatres, museums, shopping, or just enjoy a coffee while watching the daily life of the "Ticos".

Day 2. San José - Tortuguero (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will drive through the majestic Braulio Carrillo National Park on your way to Guapiles, where you will enjoy a delicious typical breakfast. Continue towards Tortuguero, board your river boat and embark on a 1 hour 30 minutes journey through the rivers and canals of Tortuguero before arriving at your hotel. After lunch, we will visit the town of Tortuguero. Dinner is included.

Day 3. Tortuguero - Puerto Viejo de Limon (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. First thing in the morning, you will tour by boat through the canals of Tortuguero.  After breakfast, we will return to Caño Blanco to continue by land to the town of Siquirres. Here, we will pick up a cold lunch so that you may continue by shuttle or rental car to the Southern Caribbean, to either Puerto Viejo or Cahuita depending on which hotel you have chosen. The contrast of cultures will call your attention, since Puerto Viejo is the cradle of Costa Rica’s Afro-Caribbean culture.

Day 4. Puerto Viejo/Cahuita (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. The Southern Caribbean, largely influenced by Afro-Caribbean traditions and culture, boasts one of the best beach areas of the country. There are many other activity options, such as visiting the Cahuita National Park, diving or snorkelling around coral reefs and admiring the beautiful hidden marine life. Another experience that you should not pass is to enjoy a typical Caribbean lunch or dinner.

Day 5. Puerto Viejo/Cahuita - Arenal Volcano (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Awaiting you today in the Northern Plains is the impressive Arenal Volcano, a natural wonder offering you the chance to witness the cone-shaped crater. Along the way there, you will see various agricultural and ornamental plantations and cattle ranches, until you reach the town of La Fortuna. The town is worth visiting to walk around and to have lunch or dinner. Your hotel is strategically located to appreciate the Volcano.

Day 6. Arenal Volcano (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. The resorts with hot springs and spas represent one of the biggest attractions to enjoy in this region. Another claim to fame in the area is the amount of activities available: canopy tours, suspension bridges, aerial trams, a visit to the La Fortuna Waterfall either by walking or horseback riding, as well as other activities on Lake Arenal.

Day 7. Arenal Volcano - Manuel Antonio (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning your journey takes you to the warm Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica to Manuel Antonio. During our trip, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of Lake Arenal; we’ll stop at the famous Tarcoles River Bridge to observe giant crocodiles. The lush landscape along the Central Pacific Coast is composed of rice and palm oil plantations.

Day 8. Manuel Antonio (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is a free day to enjoy the sun and beach, and the Manuel Antonio National Park. Many other adventures are available in the Manuel Antonio area, such as canopy tours, horseback riding, sunset cruises to see dolphins and whales, and whitewater rafting on the Savegre River. The area offers a wide variety of cuisine for all tastes.

Day 9. Manuel Antonio - San José (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Return to the Central Valley. Your transfer to San José is planned for after noon; enjoy your last morning in this tropical environment. At night you can visit typical Costa Rican restaurants and typical music with masquerades shows, or if you prefer, enjoy national and international cuisine at one of the excellent restaurants in the country.

Day 10. San José - Departure (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
